SYNOPSIS

18 year old Pearl is part of the Unit Placement Programme in the city of Maineport.

Her duty in life along with the other Units is to work until partnership. A Unit doesn't work for money. They work for their right to live in a nanny-state society that's governed by the Authority Project.

Things take a sinister turn for Pearl when she catches the interest of an Authority who's intentions are not quite clear but who hides a secret that could change Pearl's life forever.

Will she be able to keep out of trouble and abide by the Authority Law whilst keeping her soon to be husband happy or will she find herself on a path that causes more chaos than it's worth?

It's dangerous when you don't follow the rules.

It's even more dangerous to fall in love.
